My Wedding Day ❤️

Reflecting on My Wedding Day …

As I look back on my wedding day, I can’t help but be overwhelmed with gratitude. It was a day filled with joy, love, and—most importantly—the tangible presence of God.

From the moment I woke up, I knew this day wasn’t just about me and my husband-to-be; it was about honoring the One who brought us together.

I started the morning in prayer, asking God to calm my nerves and remind me of the sacred commitment I was about to make.

Every detail, from the flowers to the dress, felt like a reflection of God’s provision and love. Yet, what stood out most wasn’t the decorations or the music—it was the peace that surrounded me.

Walking down the aisle was a surreal moment. As I held my father’s arm and looked toward my soon-to-be husband, I couldn’t help but feel the weight of the vows we were about to exchange. These weren’t just promises to each other—they were promises to God.

Our ceremony was simple but intentional. We chose Scriptures that spoke of God’s design for marriage and His unconditional love. One of my favorite moments was when we invited everyone to join us in worship. Singing Jesus at the center together as a congregation reminded me that our marriage wasn’t just for us—it was a testimony to God’s faithfulness.

When we exchanged vows, I felt the gravity of the words: “For better or for worse, in sickness and in health, as long as we both shall live.” These weren’t just words; they were a covenant. I prayed silently, asking God to help us live out those promises in a way that would glorify Him.

After the ceremony, we celebrated with our family and friends. The laughter, dancing, and heartfelt speeches were a reminder of the community God had placed around us. I couldn’t stop thanking Him for the people who had poured into our lives and supported us on this journey.

One of the most special parts of the day was something that added a uniquely personal and delicious touch: our wedding cake, made by my younger sister, who happens to be a professional pastry chef.

My sister has always had a gift for baking, and when she offered to make our wedding cake, I couldn’t have been more thrilled. Knowing her passion for creating edible masterpieces, I trusted that it would be something extraordinary-and she didn’t disappoint.

She worked so hard making my wedding day so special not only as my maid of honor but also with my beautiful wedding cake and a delicious cookie buffet with mine and my husband’s favorite cookies: chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, funfetti sprinkle and snickerdoodle. The cake was a funfetti cake with a Swiss meringue buttercream.

Now that the wedding day has passed, I’m even more grateful for how God’s presence was woven into every moment. As I begin this new journey with my husband, I know there will be challenges, but l also know that the same God who brought us together will sustain us. Our wedding day was a beautiful reminder of His faithfulness, and I’m excited to see how He will continue to write our story.
