A Simple Monday Cleaning Routine: Honoring God Through Stewardship

Keeping a clean home doesn’t have to mean deep cleaning every day. Monday is my designated cleaning day, this simple routine can helps me maintain a tidy space while being a good steward of what God has given you.

Since I only deep cleaning once a week, I focus on the essentials:

1. Tidy Up – Put everything back in its place.

2. Dust & Wipe Surfaces – Wipe down counters, tables, and other surfaces.

3. Kitchen – Wash dishes, wipe appliances, and sweep the floor.

4. Bathroom – Scrub the sink, toilet, and shower.

5. Floors – Vacuum or sweep/mop as needed.

6. Trash & Laundry – Take out the trash and fold the laundry.

To keep things manageable between cleaning days I :

• Make the bed each morning.

• Wash dishes after meals

• Do a quick 5-minute tidy-up in the evening

  • Clean the bathroom and kitchen throughout the week

Cleaning is more than just a task—it’s a way to honor God by caring for what He has given you. As Colossians 3:23 reminds us, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord.” By dedicating Mondays to cleaning and keeping up with small tasks, my home stays peaceful and welcoming all week long.
