My 25th Birthday trip

This year for my birthday my husband surprised me with a trip to Boston. I’ve always wanted to visit Orchard House, the home of my favorite author, Louisa may Alcott.

We started the trip by flying into Boston on Friday night and then got to our hotel the Omni. Our room was beautiful and I was so excited to stay there. The next day we got up early, ate breakfast at our hotel and went on our way to orchard house!

When we got to orchard house we went into the welcome center. Right now because it’s Christmas time, they are doing a special tour called an old fashioned Christmas. It is a guided tour with characters like Louisa may Alcott, may alcott, Anna Alcott Pratt and Sophia Hawthorne, the wife of Nathanial Hawthorne.

We couldn’t take any pictures inside but orchard house was beautiful and it was so surreal to think that I was standing in the place where Louisa may Alcott wrote little women!

The tour was amazing and very informative. We also got a couple of things from the gift shop. The people who worked at orchard house were lovely and gave me a little chocolate candy for my birthday.

After that we drove around concord before heading back to our hotel to have lunch on their rooftop restaurant. After lunch we relaxed in our room and watched a little tv before getting ready for dinner and to go to the museum of Ice cream!

The museum of ice cream was so much fun. They had information about the history of ice cream and how ice cream is made and we got to try so much ice cream! We had orange Creamsicle, ice cream cookie sandwiches, cherry ice cream and my least favorite lobster roll ice cream lol.

After that we went to dinner at legal seafood in seaport. My husband and I both tried delicious mocktails and he ordered trout and I ordered Arctic char for dinner. They were both wonderful.

The next morning we went to brunch with my older sister, Sarah who lives near the Boston area. We had brunch at a Savr right on the Boston harbour.

After that we packed up and headed to the airport.

I had an amazing trip. Going to Orchard House has been my dream for a long time and I’m so grateful for my wonderful husband because he made that dream come true. Boston is a beautiful city and I hope to come back one day preferably in the summertime it was also so nice to see my lovely sister Sarah. have you ever been to Boston or to Orchard House?
