A Day in My Life: Simple Joys and Everyday Grace

Mornings in my house start with the smell of coffee brewing and the soft glow of the sun slipping through the curtains. I like to take my time waking up, stretching beneath the covers before finally convincing myself to get out of bed.

After getting ready for the day, I spend some time in the Word. Thereโ€™s something grounding about reading the Bible in the morning, like setting my heart on the right path before stepping into the world. Some days, a passage will stick with me, lingering in my mind like a melody. Other days, itโ€™s just a simple reassuranceโ€”Godโ€™s presence, steady and near.

Today, Iโ€™m meeting my mom for coffee at a local coffee shop.

We had a great time and great conversation not to mention the food and coffee are delicious.

It also happened to be Hopeโ€™s birthday so I couldnโ€™t let the day go by without calling the birthday girl โค๏ธ๏ฟผ

When I got back from meeting with my mother, I tidied my apartment, Mondays are my cleaning day and I have a very specific cleaning routine that I will write a blog post on soon ๐Ÿ˜‰

After that, I made myself some lunch, breakfast burritos with gluten-free cassava tortillas.

After eating lunch, I made some chocolate swirl banana bread and then I got started on making dinner. For dinner Iโ€™m making pizza so I had to make my pizza dough for my sourdough Discard.

Evenings are my favorite. My husband and I wind down togetherโ€”sometimes watching a show, sometimes just talking about our days. These are the moments I cherish the most: the laughter, the quiet companionship, the simple joy of just being together.

I also surprised my husband and made a yummy mocktail to go with our dinner lmk if you would like the recipe ๐Ÿ™‚
For our pizza, I made margarita style pizza with pepperoni and for my husbands side. I added red peppers. ๏ฟผ
We always enjoy a cup of tea after dinner and watch an episode of one of our favorite shows

Before bed, I like to reflect, pray, and sometimes read a little more. The day wasnโ€™t perfectโ€”no day ever isโ€”but thereโ€™s always so much to be grateful for and having a heart of gratitude changes your whole perspective.

And just like that, another day ends. Simple, full of small joys, and always, always covered in grace.

Love,

Moriah and Hope
